  This is a place hurting for money and with bad ethic. They try to cut corners everywhere with bulk cooking, reheating, overpricing, and food filler. They'll do anything at this place to keep the overhead as low as possible and overcharge as much they can get away with.
  
  Don't be surprised if the "cashew" chicken comes with loads of cheap vegetables to make the majority of the meal, or if the sweet and sour is quite literally watered down. The soups are not much better than ramen broth. Both times I've eaten here the meats are like eating leather - tough, chewy, and dry. I'm quite positive they use microwaves to reheat food.
  
  The place itself is unsanitary. Sticky tables and an odd "sour" smelling aroma fills the restaurant. Plus the employees are not very interested in your business. They deliver but the delivery takes an eternity to arrive. It took over and hour and the guy brought me the wrong stuff. I called about it and the second person, the first didn't speak english, wanted 'ME' to drive it back up there to get the correct order.
  
  Hong Kong Express is the very epitome of a failing business. I'm not quite sure how they even maintain to stay on the market as it is. The place meets every stereotype of a hole in the wall health hut you could imagine. There must not be any enforcement of health code in Roanoke or else this place would have been bulldozed 3 years ago.
  
  If traffic is slow and you have the gas go to the chinese place in southlake. I don't remember the name but it's the best one in this area. The risk of food poisoning at this place makes it way more than worth the 10 minute drive. Or just get pizza instead. There's plenty of those in the area.

  I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE. I ate here yesterday at about 1pm the food came quickly and the hot and sour soup was okay (nothing special). I also purchased the General Tso chicken... it was so DRY! It was almost inedible, the taste was fine but even today the meat it too tough. The other person with me purchased the sweet 'n sour chicken and it was also very dry. I feel like it was old or leftover chicken that was reheated (multiple times). When I asked for a PLASTIC to go box that was sitting right across from the counter (that I was pointing at!) the woman handed me styrofoam, then a paper to go box. When I refused them she yelled at me asking what I wanted. Unacceptable.
